One of our co-op's body & facial care product suppliers is Alaffia, a shea butter cooperative in Togo, West Africa. Read an update from the founder of Alaffia here, about his recent visit to Togo.

Welcome to Seward Co-op’s Wellness Department. We are located in the center — or the “heart” — of the co-op, and we offer high-quality natural products for your well being, inside and out.

Our personal care section includes everything from head to toe, including soaps, lotions, hair care, deodorants, dental care, facial care, bath products, feminine hygiene, cosmetics and essential oils.  We also have a section dedicated to children’s health.

Visit our supplement section for homeopathic remedies, flower essences, Chinese patent formulas, herbs, essential fatty acids, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, protein powders, and our own Seward Co-op brand supplements. We carry alternative selections for the vegetarian, vegan and the gluten free shopper.

We also carry bulk personal care and supplements, including liquid herbal extracts, cut-your-own bar soap, shampoos, conditioners, hand soaps and lotions. Bring your own container from home if you’d like (don’t forget to weigh the bottle before you fill it).

We pride ourselves on our support of other co-ops as well as local and small, independent companies such as: Alaffia, Bryn Mawr Soaps, SunLeaf Naturals, Growing Blue Flowers, Wyndmere, Therabiotics, Baraka Ceramics and Ionic Silver Works.

Look for Principle 6 products throughout the co-op, including in Wellness. Our Principle 6 (P6) product designation allows consumers to support businesses and products that meet these criteria:
* small farmer or producer
* cooperatively-owned or non-profit
* local farmer or producer
Products that meet 2 of the 3 criteria are labeled P6.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is committed to holistic health and environmental responsibility. We are available to answer questions about products, explain ingredients or direct you to informational resources.  If we don’t have the product you are looking for, we are happy to special order it for you whenever possible.
