House-Made Haggis

Seward Co-op's haggis is great because it's handmade with local beef organ meat; which means there are more vitamins and minerals than other cuts of meat. Haggis has a really smooth texture and rich flavor. And since it's already cooked, there's really no preparation except re-heating it. It's great when taken out of its casing and fried up with eggs. Delicious! - Korey, Meat & Seafood

L.T.D. Farm

Khaiti of Living the Dream (LTD) Farm with one of her ducks (and observing goat in the background).

LTDKhaiti

Our lovely Khaki Campbell ducks live cage-free year round. They love baths in their tub, hunting for tasty morsels in the weeds and chasing the cat! Their rations include an organic grain mix, culled vegetables and fruit, weeds and whatever else they find as they hunt through the grasses in their yard. They are happy little ducks!

Duck eggs can be used like any other egg, but are extra good fried with olive oil, soft boiled, and when used in baking. They add intense flavor and the extra protein in their whites adds incredible loft to baked goods. Duck eggs can often be enjoyed by those who are allergic to chicken eggs.

How does LTD's CSA work?
Our Farm Share CSA is unique, as it includes not only our fabulous duck eggs, but also vegetables, fruits and other things we make on our farm - like homemade goatmilk soap. This soap is made by hand from our own goats' milk! The old fashioned soap recipe is non-drying, with beautiful lather, leaving your skin satiny smooth. We have a monthly or twice-a-month delivery options. Contact us with questions, or visit LTD's website. We also specialize in amazing turkeys for Thanksgiving, which we harvest on our farm with our customers. This makes for an incredible holiday mealtime story and taste experience.

In the CSA model, customers pay farmers upfront for the product they will receive for the season. This means you also bear some of the risk involved with farming. Come meet us at Seward Co-op's CSA Fair every April!
