Local Ham & Swiss

Gruyere Potatoes

Ingredients
4 - 6 organic russet potatoes (depending on size)
2 - 3 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 lb. shredded Roth Kase Grand Cru Gruyere

Method
Preheat oven to 350˚ F. Butter a 9 x 12 baking dish. Slice the russets thinly. Layer half the potatoes in the bottom of the dish, sprinkle half the salt on potatoes, dot with half of the butter, spread half of the cheese on the potatoes, and sprinkle with half of the garlic. Repeat to form a second layer. Cover and bake for about 35 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Remove from oven and let set for about 10 minutes before serving.
